Did you take a look at Albert Porter's system?  Pretty awesome indeed.  If you click on the Clear Image T4 isolator you'll see what I was telling you about  on the phone.  I have three of those T4 beasts.  One will stay in my living room (powers my 27" Sony WEGA no problem) for 2 ch HT and upstairs I'll use two: one for analog line level components, another for digital line level.  Both will be fed from a 2.6 KW 220V/110V Xentech Extreme isolation transformer I just got a few hours ago.  Cost was $70 including shipping, but it is untested and purchased as is.  I took a gamble...

My power amps will be fed from a 95 lb, 3KW, 220V/110V ONEAC isolation transformer/filter.  This beast filters the ground and provides two individually fused, 110V dedicated outlets.  One will be for my Forté 4 50W Class A amp, the other for my sub amps: two Marantz Esotec MA-5 monoblocks (run in class B mode @120W).


All outlets and power cords will be cryogenically treated by Jena Labs using deep immersion in liquid nitrogen.

You need to meditate on what you just wrote.  My friend Lak upgraded from the UO into Xentech isolation transformers, a T4 for line level components and a DeZorel filter for the power amps:

I might put them back .I need  to know if any one has tried the tweaks I have presented.There is much more I can discuss including baffles for speakers which prevent sound reflections from sides and tops of the cabinet.And speaker placement.,about which I will make a brief comment.Placing speakers out in the miiddle of the room is wrong.It is a feeble attempt to create a false ambiance.Sound waves coming around  coming around
to the back wall are delayed  from the direct sound.This causes phase problems and confuses the ear.The spatial
information is on the recording.My speakers have a front port and there are no spaces on the top and sides of the speakers.On the inner sides a large baffle extends
three feet beyond the speaker.Speakers with rear ports
should be placed no more than one foot from the rear
wall.Dipoles are designed to be well into the room.I can
provide information how to build cheap baffles.You can test their effect by by hanging a piece of carpet on the speaker .It should extend over a foot from the top and
sides And cover the them.By that it will look like an an
awning.Lightly tie a string around the middle to bring the
sides of the carpet close to the speaker.This will give a crude idea of the benefits of baffling speakers.It increases separation and imaging.Also it is good to have
large objects in between speakers .Ones that absorb sound
waves are best.I would like to hear feedback from anyone who had tried anything I have presented .I have
done much more.No pain no gain is also true in audio.
If the pics are requested back just to be laughed at ,they
stay.I have provided enough humor without them.I could
send pictures of the bass traps showing how I made the

The weekend is here and we pretty much have a consensus on deleting this entire thread.  I would like to point out a very interesting thread on room acoustics.  As you could imagine, yours truly is actively involved since it pertains to the specific type of room setup I will have in my dedicated audio/home office room.

Chuckie, I hope you read it and digest the information.  This time it's not homework , but something different worth checking.  You never commented on Albert Porter's system in spite of me asking several times.  I guess the fact of someone using a set of $20K liquid filled interconnects to combat vibration was way out of your league. I know...

Keep doing the yoga, but I'd rather recommend Tibetan Kum Nye yoga--it's what's known as a a cool yoga and won't get you so jumpy and reactive as the style you're practicing.

my humble observations...

#1. chuck - quit telling us that you "are leaving" or "are done with this thread".... and then post 25 more posts....LOL... a real good way to build credibility....
