Only one record, Eudemonic, but it's a good one worth looking into if you haven't heard of this guy.

It's all instrumental and a great recording too.

A fellow member of audiocircle, Hantra, shared a few live performances (via: FLAC) of Kimocks.  I've been a fan ever since.

Eudemonic is a good disc - but if you want to get a taste of what he is all about, I suggest downloading his live performances. A simple good search will yeild plenty of results.

Eu de mon ic is a fine recording, very reminiscent of early Harvey Mandel.

Steve was the guitarist on Zero releases and there is a live release of the Steve Kimock band, but I haven't heard it so can't speak for quality.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, i do like the 'Mock a helluva lot...seen him here in Chi-town quite a few times.   

But has anyone caught WSP since Jimmy Herring joined the band?   the only reason i mention this is Jimmy has been playing with all the old 'Dead folks for sometime, and now he's completely transformed WSP...over New Years in Atlanta i heard the BEST live music i've heard in a few years - and darnit I was at a WSP show!!!

I personally fined Kimok to be sort of a wanker but then again I am not a huge widespead fan either.  Give me moe and the biscuts anyday...

Have you heard any Umphrey's McGee? They are similar to moe. and the bisquits, but perhaps a little more progressive. They're a young band, but they are amazing live. As with most jam bands, their studio stuff can't compete with their live stuff.

I have seen Umphery's quite a few times. the first was I think four or so years ago at The House of Blues in Boston. I have seen the around 10 times.  I think they are pretty good.
