just finished tracking out my ambient recording of the Steve Kimock Band, playing live at the Middle East in Cambridge MA. The show was last night, and it came out very nice.
I was running some pretty sweet gear.
a vintage AKG c34 small diaphragm stereo microphone (XY, cardioid...but a little tighter, not quite hypers though) > Apogee AD1000 mic preamp and 20bit A/D converter > toslink output > Creative labs Nomad JB3 at 16bit 44.1kHz
