Well I’m getting a list of must listen to rooms together, because if I don’t write them down a week after RMAF I’ll be kicking myself in the butt because I forgot 4 or 5 rooms .  Believe me if you don’t have a plan it will happen to you too.

I tried last year to get to as many rooms as I could....put in full days, everyday....and I still missed half of them....
I'll try harder this year.....one week to go......

Half hour or so....12 to 4 Fri.....9 to 6 Sat. .....9 to 3 Sun....I missed a few hours.....
Stay up till 4 AM each nite....out on the town....it was a busy weekend.

Talking with Chris Brady from Teres Audio I think this is a must visit room as well. Of course he will have the latest Teres tables but he will also be bringing his Cocobolo Edgar Horns.

I’d strongly recommend checking out room #1114  for Van Alstine electronics and Salk speakers.  I confess to not having heard the Salks, but they seem to be highly regarded.  And I can personally vouch for the fact that Frank Van Alstine (AVA) has been turning out amps and preamps far superior to anything anywhere near their prices for years!

Just from here on AC, I'm definitely going to check out

ACI (never heard their stuff and the SapphXL is getting high praise)
RAW (heard a bit of the HT3 last year and it was great, looking forward to more)
AV123 (depends on what they bring - if it's the Strata Mini, check it out - I'll definitely be talking with the guys)

Lower priority (for me)

Salk (great stuff, but more than I'll be spending)
Selah (will be interested if they bring a pair of Tanzanites)
Bolder (interested in hearing a CDWG setup)
GR Research (interested in checking out the new omni stuff Danny is playing with - I also like to play a few loud things in there )
HagTech (say hi to Jim)

I'm sure I missed some AC folks there, but this is off the top of my head.

For just sheer good sound to check out, regardless of price/interest, I'd like to check out:

Genesis (never listened to anything from them)
Gershman (the Black Swans sounded very good last year IMO)
Usher (made it to their room after they started break-down last time)
Eben (liked what I heard last year)
Zu (only herd a tiny bit last year and liked it - want to hear a bit more)
LINN (never heard any of their speakers)

I'll also keep an eye out for those in the under $5k category. 

Yes, we'll have a pair of Tanzanites on hand.

Seems like Denver will have some snowing coming this weekend. I wonder how bad will driving be? I have never drove on a snowing day, but I have booked a rental car at the airport..

Well being a canuck and driving in the snow and mainly ICE that we get here in the west coast.
#1 Drive with common sense
#2 If you allow more time for breaking you will be fine.
#3 DO NOT stomp on the brakes.Easy way to change lanes in 1 second or swip another car.
Other than that just play it safe drive with a brain snow really is not bad.Now ICE is another story.
If you go to stop on ice in a hurry.Well just hang on

Errr...the might be some snow on Saturday and Sunday..I'm staying 3 miles south of Marriott Tech Center, at Sheraton Tech Center. I'm not really concerned about driving from Sheraton to Marriott, but the 40 mins drive from Airport to Tech Center and vice versa.

That drive is mainly highway from the airport....thats what I remember. Should not be a problem....
Now if you were in Buffalo, NY.....get out the dog team....

Yes the drive is mainly highway from the airport to the Sheraton and back to the Marriott.
And lots of cunstruction last year around the highway as well.

Just a note when you come off the highway to the Sheraton, get in the far left lane ASAP.You have to get across 4 lanes in 3 car lengths.

I still refuse to pack a jacket, but I will throw some jeans in the suitcase

Bring a jacket, trust me on this. It's supposed to be in the 40's for most of the weekend but as soon as the sun sets it will be quite a bit cooler than that. The lows for Saturday and Sunday are in the 20's. It was a balmy 24 this morning. We had great weather the last two RMAF's but it's going to be a little chilly this year.

We did have our first snow yesterday afternoon & last night. Only a few inches in the city and surrounding areas but it was icy this morning. The good thing about Denver is that it's usually gone the next day. Right now the sun is shining, skies are blue and the roads are clear. Most of the snow will be gone by this afternoon and we should be fine through the weekend. It's beautiful outside at the moment, a little cold still at 27* but with the sun it feels much warmer than that, unless you're in the shade of course.
