I went last year, but only for a few hours - I had drill that weekend (N. Guard)

The Veneer Project went great - I'll have to show you. I just need to wax them and I am good (I think)
I also need to get your roller and saw back. Let me know when is good for you.

I know the dates are 20 - 22 October, but I wonder what time does it start in the morning and what time does it end in the afternoon?

I'm trying to book my flight and hotel.. I need to make sure that I don't arrive too late!

I checked the site...thought I read times before...don't see them now. I know last year...Fri. was 12 noon to 8PM, Sat. was 9AM to 6PM, and Sun. was 9AM to 4PM...thats right from last years directory. There's a lot to see and hear....and there was live music as well. It's a great show !!!!

Thats what I did...and all the time there....still missed some of the room's.

Trust me Barry....you'll be in "audio heaven".....

Damn, I'd love to attend...haven't been to Denver since I was stationed at Lowry AFB back in '81. I miss the city and the Rockies tremendously, but I won't get any vacation time again until this time next year (dammit)!

"Stereophile to cover RMAF 2006 - John Atkinson just confirmed that he'll send Jason Victor Serinus for daily blog coverage on Stereophile's website and would accompany his writer were it not for personal jury duty. With this announcement, it now appears that all the US-based major print and on-line publications dedicated to 2-channel audio will dispatch personnel to Denver. That gives the upcoming 3rd installation of this regional enthusiast's event a well-deserved boost of press attendance and coverage. Now audiophile attendees must make a similar commitment to support this privately organized event and insure that overall traffic and visitor stats go up to make the show viable in the future for continued manufacturer support. That has been the only complaint from the makers thus far. "We need to have more audiophiles show up." Make it so."

Lou Hinkley (one of the musicians at RMAF) is a fine musician and his Daedalus speakers are incredible works of art and extremely musical. I have a CD of his that he gave me when he let me audition his DA-1 speakers. The musicianship is excellent and his speakers really showcase live acoustical music. I'm still saving money and trying to sell things to finance a pair.

I totally agree that Lou kicks ass and is an excellent musician.

I still have burned into my brain his little session he did for my myself and a few buddies at the first RMAF. We asked Lou why audio systems had a hard time reproducing live music and he just laughed...he plugged in his guitar, and treated us to his musical talents. I almost bought his speakers just off of that demo!

Anyway, I will definitely be there to hear Lou play.

I just ordered my airline tickets. I'll get to Denver at 2:15pm. Hope to see a lot of my fellow audio Circle members there. Haven't been to one of these shows in years. We used to have one every couple of years here in the S.F. bay area. That would be in the 1970's or so. Shame that there are very few now. Always was a lot of fun getting together with the guys and just bullshitting about audio gear.

I'm wanting to book my flight and room in the next day or so. Being my first time out to RMAF, where's THE place to stay? Reasonably close to the show unless one can get a shuttle, cheap cab to the hotel, something to do of an evening - saw something about a micro-brewery, etc.
