Some artists remain obscure. They are too altruistic. Mary Margaret O'Hara, also a Canadian, comes to mind. Some have an opportunity when someone with the means and will to produce them comes along and we must be thankful for them. But, most are not appreciated in their time and that's a very old story. "Would You Go?" from the album Maria that I could not find a picture for goes me in particular. And there is one about a boat that does on this one, also. Her art is unusual. Her voice is an instrument of beauty. There can't be any controversy about that.

The set - lots of covers, well done, some very nice original material as well. Things I don't remember ever hearing by Booker. Very simple recordings, which while they show their age in
that simplicity, also show a quality in how Cropper & company did things back then. If you're a fan of Green Onions, you might want to check out this set, not a bad buy at $20 (incl shipping from amazon seller) for 5 discs.
