Last call....

Orenda Fink was the unofficial "fifth" member in Rilo Kiley's last tour in 2008.  There's talk about Jenny Lewis, Orenda Fink, Maria Tayor (the other Azure Ray ex-member) and Feist getting together for a cd.  It would be an all female super indie group!  Oenda also does some nice stuff with her group, Art In Manila.

Now that would be some cd!  8)

A fusion of sounds...
Quote
Curlew's music has awkward edges, and Dean Granros' raw guitar explores the tensions between jazz and rock...a diving backbeat, with overdriven guitar and lumpy rock rhythms, is typical of the band's approach and is the musical equivalent of jumping into the cold plunge pool after a sauna.

Curlew, mercury

and then...

...parts of Cream, shades of Cream...some very interesting musicians are on here, Bernie Worrell, Vernon Reid, The Ginger of course, Tony Williams, Zakir Hussain, Albert Collins, and many more.

The "hot group" on Long Island in the late '60's...they put on a good show... :thumb:

The Illusion were an American psychedelic rock band from Long Island, New York. They released three full-length albums in the U.S., the first of which was also issued in the United Kingdom. The group had one minor hit in the U.S. in 1969 with "Did You See Her Eyes", which peaked at #32. Their first album reached # 69 and stayed 27 weeks in the Billboard album charts. Since then their vinyl material has become highly sought after by collectors of 1960s psychedelia. Until comparatively recent times, none of their albums were available on CD. As of 2008, their first and second albums, "The Illusion" and "Together (As a Way of Life)" are available in CD format, with the band stating "we're working on "If It's So".
