Uberbuss questions
« on: Yesterday at 04:54 am »
Danny I have a question about the Uberbuss.  I am not positive but I have a feeling that the power in my area is below average.  I haven't had any testing done and I thought about calling out the electric company to do a study to find out.  My question is does the Uberbuss help when the electricity sags or surges?

Why would it?  The Uberbuss is a GR product from what I understand which might be assembled by P.I. Audio.   :dunno:

In the past, Uberbuss has MOV's for surge; no regulation though.

Danny said GR Research assembles the UberBUSS.

Yes, I think it is very important Danny clarified that. I am interested to have a UBERBUSS in my system later on.

Me, too. I'll consider sending Danny some Furutech receptacles for a custom version if that's an option.

I was interested in the Uberbuss a while back when my never ending quest for electrical silence came to an abrupt end in defeat.  The little bit of 120hz transformer buzz coming from my high gain amps with Danny’s efficient Otica’s is likely part of my issue there.  I live with it.  In my old above ground wired neighborhood perhaps the Uberbuss would help, perhaps not.  Just last night a friend and I played the 5 audio samples from New Record Day.  My take on the A/B was that B was more natural and had deeper and more impactful bass response.  I was shocked when I saw the reveal and it was only Uberbuss and power cords doing that.  It for sure re-energized my quest for electrical improvements.  Consider me intrigued.  What is in the Uberbuss?  Is it just high quality filter caps?  From the clips I heard it certainly doesn't appear to limit current.
