We're still working with Dave to try to get all of that that sorted out..
The best power conditioner on the planet that is also non-current limiting.

I love mine as well

I'm probably getting on the bus.  The electricity in my house is not great.  Breakers are kicked quite a bit, surges etc.  Who is Dave working on these?

Be aware that the UberBuss has no surge protection

Yeah, surge protection often really eats up dynamics.

Rest of the RCA cables arrived this afternoon!
Got a big batch going into the cryo tank tomorrow, should be able to ship most back-orders out by Friday the 28th. :thumb:

If any NX-Series owners want to demo a pair, or two, shoot us an email.

That's super cool, Hobbs.  You deserve to be really proud of this because you made your own luck by not giving up on those wave guides.

I'm playing with Encore right now and will be using Baltic Birch on my brand new table saw to cut cabinets for your speaker.  Holy cow, the Encore is REALLY good... can't wait to hear yours.   I can tell this Encore speaker is a Classic... just "right".

Review coming soon for the interconnects. Finishing up notes and making things more coherent and less rambling next week.

Yeah, surge protection often really eats up dynamics.

Just a comment in the interests of accuracy: Shunyata Research power distributors, which also provide surge protection, are specifically designed NOT to do this.

A key functional reason for this is their Dynamic Transient Current Delivery (DTCD) technology, which is implemented very effectively in all their power products, including their power cords and power distributors, is described at the link below. Scroll down to the DTCD section on the web page linked here: https://shunyata.com/technology/, and you can see the DTCD data on the graphs at the bottom of the page below the DTCD technology description.

In point of fact, Shunyata's DTCD technology actually improves system dynamics considerably, while  also  reducing AC mains noise considerably.

Here is a YouTube video by Caelin Gabriel of Shunyata Research, describing DTCD technology: https://youtu.be/M-xkQZ4qlDc?si=ShZIm1c5-uNu-wFT

Also, the entry-level Gemini (which also provides ground-plane noise reduction), as well the more affordable Venom V16 and Hydra spec power distributors, will also provide significant benefits with respect to improving your system dynamics, as well, because they also provide DTCD capability.

Bottom-line is: Want take your system and musical presentation dynamics, and dynamic responsiveness to another level altogether, all while reducing AC mains noise? Install a Shunyata Research power distributor and power cords for powering your system components. Your system will be considerably quieter while also more dynamic and responsive as well as sounding much more accurate, natural, and musically-engaging.

Trust me on this one. I've done this demo in-person for many, many audio buddies, and they all end up purchasing a Shunyata Research power distributor.

PS: BTW, that was also me that posted the comment in Ron's YT channel and his NRD YT live-stream last night about getting the speaker cables up off the floor. Glad to see you took up my suggestion and tried it and heard the improvements to be had. I also learned about the importance of this from the guys at Shunyata.

Cheers and have a great day.

I just received my second pair yesterday. Dac to preamp and preamp to amp. My first pair are broken in using from pre to amp and they are very open sounding. The pair I received yesterday needs breaking in as I felt the background was a little grainy.

I got to try out Shunyata's Venom V16 power distributor a couple years ago for about a month or so, and it was solid overall, nice improvements in clarity and lowering noise floor, especially over a direct to wall or power strip connection. Only minor negative I found was a slight loss of deep bass output, even when the only thing connected was the DAC (a Holo Audio Spring 2 KTE, also on loan)
I later compared it to Danny's UberBuss (gen III) using his system (using a Holo May DAC KTE) the loss of deep bass was a little more apparent, and the soundstage of the Venom was a little narrower, but in terms of improved clarity and the effectiveness of removing noise, they were both really close.

Edit: was given info on the correct  on the generation UberBuss

Hey, everybody!
We're going to be announcing several new products here in the next couple weeks! :thumb:

RCA interconnects: (Finally!)
First, limited batch of RCA interconnect cables are currently in the cryo tank, the bulk of the order arriving in another 3-4 weeks.
Lengths will be available available from 0.5m to 2m. Plan is to launch the product page by Friday.
(5 pairs of 0.5 & 15 pairs of 1.0, 1.5 & 2.0m will be available at launch)

Just slapped a pair of these babys onto a new network streamer. Instant sound upgrade! These are great!

Diffusion panels:
We will be offering the 24x24x6" & 48x24x8" foam diffusers within the next week and a half.
Same kinds seen in Danny's listening room. We have a ton of both types on hand, we just need boxes for the bigger panels.
They are white, but can safely be painted with water-based acrylic paints. (avoid any solvent-based paints)
Any details / specs available on the diffusion characteristics of both panel types?  I searched for anything related to the similar PI Audio stuff but came up empty.  Thanks.

This is info the designer of the "Mr T" diffusers provided me when I was digging into them.  As for the 2 different styles of foam, I didn't have interest in the other style and didn't ask.

If you look at the two different styles on the GR site, the one formed in "slats" mentions breaking up midrange frequencies.  The other style and the style I have referred to as "Mr T" break up high frequencies.

I'm really glad I went this route.

"When I designed my original diffusers in the early '90's I built my first ones from wood and Masonite.  I was not all of that happy with them because they were 1 - trick ponies.  What they lacked was bandwidth.  I thought for a long time about how to get more performance from a readily available material.  I ultimately chose EPS for 3 reasons:

Transparent to extreme lows - easy to mass load on the back for tuneable LF absorption or to place hi-Q bass traps behind them

Reflective in the mid frequencies - cut the profile for the desired dispersion

Absorbency in the highs - this can be tuned by what type and the thickness of the finish

The hemispherical dispersion of Mr. T was necessary because a QRD diffusion pattern is not particularly effective in creating a big soundstage that they can affect with box speakers when used with open baffles.  QRD 2-dimension re-radiation is too limiting.

I'm not a fan of smaller 2-D diffusers used at 90 degree angles with the exception of high ceilings in recording studios.  They are far enough from the source and then receiver to effectively do their job."

Excellent.  Thanks much. These are my most likely path forward if I can figure out how to integrate in a way that‘ll make the best use of what I have and keep my better half happy.
