I forgot to post some pictures of the subs.  I have the drivers installed and ready to wire.  Again they are dusty and need to be cleaned.  I am really excited to get everything put together.

I was ready to start wiring my subs and I had looked at the wiring diagram several times but not really checked out the servo amps.  I had never noticed how they are wired when I looked at them in person or in a picture.  I went ahead and mounted the amps on the boxes and noticed wiring underneath.  My amp boxes didn't come with holes drilled in them, so I actually thought everything was going to be plugged into the top.  When I seen the wires underneath I called Danny and Hobbs to get some clarification on wiring.  After about three calls I think I have got it figured out.  The thicker set of wires + and - goes to the driver side while the smaller set of wires + and - goes to the servo side.  Then they are all wired into a 4 pole neutrik connector.  I also found out talking to Hobbs that you want the amp as close to the subs as possible.  I am glad I called and asked because I was thinking about making a long speaker cable from the amp to the subs that would have been a mistake.  I had thought about mounting and wiring a female neutrik connector to the amp box and running a short male to male neutrik cable from the amp the subs.  I am trying to think of a way to protect the wire from the amp to the subs and make it more attractive.  Can you guys tell me or throw up some pictures of what you have done in your builds.

The Neutrik connectors make the most sense in terms of a clean look. I left my amp boxes just like yours and stand them up behind the woofers (can't be seen from the seating area). The amp wires are connected to the subs with Wago connectors.

Agree on the Neutrik connectors. I wanted same clean look you're describing and that was my solution. Although my setup is somewhat different, I can post some photos if you like.

I had never seen these before.  Are they magnetic?  That gave me an idea.  My crossovers have some extra wire so I can pull them out.  I also soldered them in about 12 inches from the crossover to wire from the drivers.  I was thinking I could use those connectors and have a quick release connection but would they cause any degradation?  Danny always talks about ferrous material in the signal path from these cheap speaker connections.  I read in your bio you have modded your servo amp.  Can you explain what you did to it?

I don't know what the Wago connectors are made of. I didn't notice any sonic degradation by using them. They're probably not any "worse" than Neutrik connectors or wire nuts.

I bet you are correct about the being as good as Neutrik connectors.  Do you still have Folsoms contact info.  Looks like he is restricted and has not been on I awhile.  Must of stepped on a few toes......haha

This will be my first post on this forum as I'm looking for a build on the GR-Research NX-Otica. Read it twice, LOL, and I have to say that my eager to go this route is getting more and more stronger.

I did my double troubles a little differently.  I used an XLR cable for the servo connection and Belden 5T00UP 10awg for speaker connection.  Cable lengths are a little under 3’.

It has taken me a long time not to mention I'm not that handy and have a perfection disorder.  I still need to button up a few things including putting the no-rez on but it has been really fun.
