Foam for wave guide?
« on: 24 Sep 2023, 07:17 pm »
The foam inside my RM30's wave guide is done and melting away. This is for the original slotted grills. Does anyone know where Brian sourced this? Was it tape or glued in place? Any alternitives?
Thanks,

No Rez is a possible substitute. I would contact GR Research and ask them.

Here is a post on wave guide which includes drawing diagram and recommended material. https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=176018.0

From post: "Material recommended was Bulk Fine Foam Filter 60 PPI 12x16x3/8in Uni BF-4."

Looks like it is availble here: https://www.amazon.com/FOAM-FILTER-SHEET-BLACK-Manufacturer/dp/B008Y2H73E

Hey Derek,

Use a good spray on adhesive after cutting to size.  Spray on the foam and carefully press in in the correct place.
