In a choke there is only a primary winding , a interstage is as a normal transformer and has primary and secondary winding. Just as the small diagram what you can see on the photo i posted.
Toroids and C-cores (this 0,05 mm too) are all winded as a roll tape. The toroid is round, the c-core oval and later they cut the oval core and the you have 2 C’s.They can look solid but if you look more closer you see the individual laminations.
To tell the truth I like the euphonic sound of tubes, it so romantic, vintage, beautiful....paradise.
This size transformer is just what you need for a decent tube amplifier. Most transformers i see are to small and are not qualified for the job. Unless you like colored muddy sound ofcourse. The “cover” is gaffer tape, just some extra protection, could be any tape.
I like the more modern sound of tubes amplifiers: ultra clean, ultra smooth And dynamic, not the sound of an old ‘50 radio (which i like to but as a background )
