Houston we have liftoff - sort of

I held the tweeter wires on the mini to one tweeter and ran a measurement - got output to 20K sweet! Even with the tweeters not mounted or soldered and facing side wall ( was holding wires and tweet in one hand and hit measurement with other hand) the overall sound was significantly more full. I had no idea what I was missing and think getting the tweeter replacement will be a HUGE improvement - almost like getting new speakers. I was really worried that the crossover or internal wiring was screwed up and I would get no high output so today's test was great news.
BTW, is the red terminal positive or negative?
Danny were you able to get test face plates out to Peter? If so and Peter is able to trim the face plate to fit the mini, I think I will not worry about routing out inside of tweeter cutout. I don't have a router and don't plan to get one but if it is necessary sonically I might see if a friend has one. I understand you are injured Danny and this is a favor from both you and Peter so I will hang patiently to see how this works out. Thanks!
