So now you change it to cd where your music is located. And you should be set to go. :)

You mean where mqn folder/bat file is located, correct? Not actual music library (unless they are one and the same).

There is a Readme text in the previously linked directory with (admittedly unclear) instructions:

Quote
Installation - there is no installation or registry modification

Just download the MQn.bat, paste.exe and the latest version of the MQncontrol.exe and mqnplay.exe that meets your needs (see below) to a directory eg c:\MQnPlayer

remove the versions from the end of the files eg rename mqnplay.exec2.0 to mqnplay.exe

change the 3rd line in mqn.bat to point to the directory with mqn.bat in. eg cd c:\musicplayer
[/i]

Nope, where the music is located in your setup. Isn't that how yours is working?
It is how mine is working.

I keep the MQn.bat, MQncontrol, Paste, & MQnplay all in one folder.

All my mqn stuff is in a mqn folder on c: drive. My music library is on another drive. My bat file is edited to reflect the location of the bat file on the c: drive.

Just so we're on the same page: did you install the files from the main google link? Are you using newer (say 2.59-2.69) mqnplay.exe? Did you read the full Readme instructions from that link?

Also make sure anti-virus is turned off (at least while you test) I think that caused errors in my setup.

Here are some step by step instruction as I think the Readme is a little confusing and omits some information:

FYI - MQN is for x64 W7 and W8

Go the Main directory here:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B3vvH5WBfg8PdlZmeDhNZ1Utbm8&usp=sharing

Download the following (hit the 'List' tab at upper right of screen for a more manageable view)

Mqn.bat
All four Mqncontrol.exe versions
Mqnplay.exe 2.70 (or whichever has most recent date - not number)
Mqnreadme
Mqnstop
Mqnpaste

Create a folder for all these files
Right click on Mqn.bat, select Edit
Change 2nd line with 'cd c:\ etc.' to 'cd (insert bat file location)  e.g. cd c:\mqnfolder etc.
Save and close bat file.
For convenience I recommend changing the file folder to match what's already in bat file (c:\musicplayer) at least for testing
Select one of the mqncontrol.exe's *if you have a dual core select a core 2. If you have quad core any will work*
Rename selected mqncontrol ('mqncontrol.exe no affinity v2' to just 'mqncontrol.exe')
Rename mqnplay.exe X.XX etc to just mqnplay.exe
Reboot
Select track or tracks, right click, copy
Double click mqn.bat

Then  track should play

Then try out the different mqncontrol.exes and pick which sounds best
Same goes for mqnplay.exe. Go to Archive directory and try out older versions.

Hm, then you'll want to mention it to Gordon the designer. Hopefully he can help. He's at this mqn forum:

http://www.tirnahifi.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2418&p=47002#p47002

I'm still learning about it myself. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Something else that comes to mind. When you copy the music, is the location of that music copied at the same time?

I tried both ways...ihad wav file copied in same directory also then copy wav in different folder and clicked copy and then clicked on bat file...

Know it sounds like a hassle but I'd just head to the mqn forum... I do think it's worth the effort.
