ASOLUTELY NOTHING
Oh, happy people so, congratulations. I cant live with vinyl, I relieved when a new viable option came in.Any secret?
My passion led me to build a retro platform based on a Garrard 401. One tonearm has a mono cartridge and the the other has a stereo cartridge.Like I said, you mainly have to have a passion for vinyl. It isn't for everyone.--Jerome
I listened at a chum's house this morning who is cutting edge digital. The images were as fine and detailed as I can imagine, like what you might expect of an exquisite glass for rare wine. Thing is, it sounded like there was no wine in it.
No real secret beyond passion and commitment. Most of the music I enjoy was recorded between 1950 and 1980, and I would much prefer to listen to it on vinyl than I would in any digital format. To that end I have built a considerable library of vintage mono and stereo vinyl pressings of jazz, classical, and rock -- most of which are in minty shape. I also own a lot of audiophile 180g and 200g vinyl pressings.Like I said, you mainly have to have a passion for vinyl. It isn't for everyone.--Jerome
My prob is Iam unable to concentrate in the music with that annoying hiss, plic and plocs.I mean say the secret to dont listen the surface noises.About mono, I surprised how good is old mono jazz recording in SACD, as this gem:http://www.sa-cd.net/showtitle/2291Iam buying more mono SACDs than I would expect.
