Ah Crap is right.
This is a let down. As it is obviously when anyone that we care about for whatever reason passes.
Alvin was named for many years as the worlds fastest guitarist. I don't know about that, but he was fast and furious and at times sweet and subtle.
I remember winning tickets from WHFS Radio (local DC/MD) front row to see Ten Years after at The Warner Theater in Washington D.C. and
Alvin was playing that big ass red guitar with the decals and he threw a pick out to the crowd and it hit me straight in the eye.
My eye was already red for another reason and I didn't care and it was an insane show and it was about 1971.
And I hope now that he has passed, I hope He is Going Home by Helicopter.
Modify-- And I am sure in his way, he did Change the World.
