First, I refuse to vote, stupid poll.  Second, I love Hendrix, awesome talent, but not "Bad" in any sense of the word.  Pitiful, sad, innovative, depressed, tragic, groundbreaking, yes, but not "Bad".  I could go on about how Hendrix was viewed by those of us who were his contemporaries, but you just can't understand it unless you were there.

Yes, I refuse to vote for that stupid poll too. Hendrix wasn't bad, wasn't good. He was superlative!
(I have at least 32 Hendrix CDs not counting a few vinyl too.)

Hendrix...Child of alcoholic, and abusive parents. Junkie, herion addict, overdosed on pills and choked on his own vomit.  No significant relationships, no claimed children.  Dead at 28.
Talented, yes.  "Baddest man". not even on the list.

But if we limit to "baddest musician" whatever that means (perhaps most influential), I vote for Beethoven followed by Bach.  Rock is only a very small part of the overall evolution of music.

If you get a chance find the movie MONGOL and watch it. Yes, it is subtitled but this is one of the best movies I've seen this decade. It is about the early life of GK.

have you ever read about how jimi actually died?  according to many accounts, if it were not for the moronic ambulance attendant(s), he would not have died when he did.
