Oooh, added punctuation ... aren't you clever   At least put your marker in the right spot instead of the Hwy MM ditch.

Bob, we have the ability to edit or delete our own pins but not anyone elses.  Looks like this accomplishes what we wanted, thanks for setting this up.   :thumb:

Are you really going to let Ryan's marker obscure yours?  :P

Ryan, Yea I wanted the nearest major intersection. Not my front door. But I thought I was being pretty clever on the punctuation. No worries, I won't mess with anybodies tags anymore.

Leo, Good deal. That's what I wanted to hear. I think I'll stop fiddling with it and call it a day. I'll do a new thread and sticky it with a link to the map.

Mitsu, Ryan and I are less than a mile from each other. With the map zoomed out to it's current level, the pins are on top of each other. Since he's got a business and I don't, I'll let his cover mine, it's all good.

Uh?  Did a pin get moved and then moved back?  Mistuman is about 18 miles from House Springs, MO and you two guys as the crow flies.
In any case, great job Bob, thanks for all the effort.
Just one thing, how do I edit my pin for text and picture?

Ken, if you click your pin, you get a "balloon" pop up that give an [edit] and [delete] option.

Hi Bob,

If I click on my pin, I do NOT get an [edit] or a [delete] option. Any clue?

Nor do I.  I only get that option when I click on somewhere that there isn't a pin and it asks me if I want to add something.

Bob,
Just added my pin.   I also receive the popup to edit if I click on my pin.

 How come some of you can edit, and some can't?  hhmmm

Well......suffice it to say that if you can't "edit" yours, maybe I can do it for you (just PM me), or I can delete you pin alltogether and you can re-add it with whatever you want?
cool?

Bob

EDIT: Hey Alan, can you edit other peoples pins?

Bob,
I cannot edit other pins, just my own.  Clicking on the other pins just allows me to view data already contained within.

That's weird. I don't understand why you can, but Bryan and Din can't.  Did you sign up, or log in somewhere that could be affecting it?

Well... I can click all over my pin and balloon and no editing is offered. Go ahead and delete the pin, I'll try again and see what happens?

Steve. I don't know.  :dunno:

Ken. There were two pins for you.  (I deleted them both). Try a new one and see what happens.

I'll be send out an email notifying everyone of the new map. There are only 12 pins on there as of right now.

My name is on the map if you move the curser around the Maplewood area. No flag though.

I had the same issue.  I just threw down another pin.  So if you move around my pin just slightly you might get a different message.  Not interesting enough to try, just saying you weren't alone on the missing pin thing.

That's weird. I wonder if that's why Ken had two....because he did it once, didn't see it, so he did it again. Then they both appeared
Give it a bit, and see if it appears. I can see your balloon if I hover, but no pin.

Hey Now!
"I pin, therefore I am!"
Looks like it works the way you say it should.  Thanks a lot for making/taking the effort Bob!  It is pretty cool, and I'm sure it will serve good purpose in the future.

May the Pins be with you!
