I have this same receiver in my 1969 Allied Electronics catalog. It's badged as the Allied model 333, and mine is exactly the same, except for the Knight International badge. The 3 way speakers are pretty nice too, and they are the model KN 3005.
I was dismayed at the specifications for the tuner section in the Allied catalog, quoting a 3.0 sensitivity spec, but this thing is pulling in stations from the cities like a bastard and holding on to them very well. A little more noise, but instruments sound very real. That is a good trade off for me.
Here is the other bonus, the AM section actually works quite well.
I am a bit perplexed on the Allied/Knight connection. I thought that Knight was only kits, but this is clearly factory built. If someone can fill me in on some of the history here, I'd appreciate it, as apparently, I have it not all figured out.
BTW, it and the speakers have found their way into the studio. Another odd thing is that all the lights work! I just don't get why the guy sold it for so little. He obviously wanted to get rid of it, and I obliged.
Very fun.
