There is also a large group of ex-US Army and ex-US Air Force folks that when stationed in Germany during the cold war picked up German brides.
They do like their polka music and beer. Polka charts are a lot of work with all of the repeats, DS's and Coda's built into the chart. So, typically, one complete Polka is at most notated on 2 pages. The chart book was thick with every polka imaginable.
