I think I might be hijacking this thread as I consider these songs sappy, not cheesy. And like is more accurate now, though when young I did love them.

I'm probably relying too much on semantics, to spare my ego.

There are likely more I can't remember at the moment. But I'll deny I ever wrote this much.

What can I say -- for some reason, it really affected me when it first came out, and while I can safely say I never need to hear it again, every so often I stumble across it on the car radio and, sure enough...

Edit -- I must be getting old! Didn't realize this was an old thread, and...even worse...I already posted THE SAME DANG SONG back when it first started.
