To damage it that badly they must be tossing it in the air or dropping it from 20 feet or more.
If it were something easily bent fine, but this is built like a tank.

I agree that Bryston provides a superior product and exemplary customer service delivery and I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but why wouldn't Bryston offer to fix one of their products?  I get the impression that people think the repair would be free.  James never implied that it would be a free fix.

Yes I offered it for free as I want the customers first experience with Bryston to be a pleasurable one.  In fact the 'seller' posted on line that he could not believe it!!!! :thumb:

I want to  thank James and Mike. They have no obligation to repair my amp and have been truly amazing. They have made another lifetime customer.

Also I would like the thank the seller Nate Bimbaum, Newport Studios Ontario. He has put considerable time into working with Bryston, and UPS.

Finally we have UPS. Even with insurance they have been the worst and I have no expectation of getting satisfaction from them. When you think "Brown" think of something you don't want to step in.

I recommend to anyone shipping a Bryston product to use the correct packaging for that model and to ship with FedEx. If you do not have the packaging it is available from Bryston.

Yes,FedEx is a way to go. :thumb:
I found this out long time ago, also ups has the worst customer service and when there is a problem, they can be very rude to you.

UPS and Fedex are both terrible. I bought a new pair of Legacy Focus SE this year and Fedex put I fork from a fork truck through one of the speakers. They also failed to return on another delivery to me. I was home and tracked it and whatched when the driver said I wasn't home. Both companies are focused on production.

Fedex customer service might be better but with UPS,Fedex and USPS you must double box. I find UPS will get it to you but the condition is questionable.USPS is the cheapest but they contract out to both Fedex and UPS to drop ship thier parcels. Fedex is 4 seperate entities,Air,ground, home, and freight and 3 of th 4 are a franchise.

They all suck, double box my 2cents.

Yes UPS is very bad, I go with FEDEX.

I was on the fence for a new amp, but now that I see how BRYSTON steps in to take care of this problem?!? I am sold. I am going with BRYSTON on my next amp purchase.

Awesome story with a decent ending. BAD UPS.....BAD

A comment on FedEX Air. FedEx Air is a separate company (the original) and is an excellent service. Really expensive, but first class. When I want to ship or get an expensive or rare item i do NOT want damaged, I flip for the extra hundred bucks for FedEx Air. It is worth it.

UPS is absolutely horrible when it comes to customer service. On the few occasions that I did use them, my parcels looked as if they were dragged behind the truck instead of being shipped inside of the truck.  For my eBay purchases, I use Canada Post or USPS Priority Post and have not experienced any difficulties at all.

Be well…
