Moby Grape

Now, there is a band that is snake bitten.  Mental illness, drugs, terrible contracts and management serve as a cautionary tale to anyone who wants to get into the music biz.

Could you tell me which two releases those were? Amazon is amazingly unhelpful in this regard.

Big Sugar 1992
500 Pounds 1994
Hemi-Vision 1996
Heated 1999
Brothers & Sisters, Are You Ready? 2001
Hit & Run 2003
New album : Revolution Per Minute  2011

And I forgot to mention The Doors, Roxy Music and 10cc.
Hot Tuna and the Velvet Underground would be good, too.

The The

No kidding. I saw The The with Johnny Marr open up for Depeche Mode in the early 90's (Songs of Faith and Devotion tour) and can honestly say they were one of the top 5 bands I ever saw live. They did a short 30 minute set, but it was riveting from the first harmonica note to the last cymbal splash. I sat in my chair looking at the stage saying over and over "Are you f-ing kidding me!" "Are you f-ing kidding me!" We didn't even know they were the opening band because the tickets said "Depeche Mode w/Special Guest". Yeah, best "Special Guest" EVER!
