Long ago I owned several Bose speakers...301s, 601s and 901s. Inovative for the era, and they were...BOSE!In retrospect, it seems to me Bose has done something pretty extraordinary and it has little to do with audio. They've become a marketing juggernaut. Well known, and highly regarded by those who don't know better. I truly think they could successfully sell an electronic eggplant if they so chose. They are masters of ad copy and building value where's there's little. So would I own their stuff now? Nope. But from a marketing perspective, they seem to be golden.
Bose wants over 5k for this system. Am I to believe that consumers are willing to fork over over 5k for this?
This tv is pretty nice but its not worth 6k for a 42in. It does sound good for a tv i have to admit.
Last time I checked my system (and 100% gaurantee yours) is a pain in the ass most of the time. This system seems like a great thing for people who want better sound and easier use without big ugly Magnepan panels everywhere. No one here has offered up any evidence that they have a better solution in both sound quality and ease of use as usual audiophiles miss the point of products like this.
