5D mkIII/100L macro combo handheld.
My MkIII should be here in 2 days
Not a true macro, but shot with a macro lens.
The macro lens produces an image of an object on the sensor which is the same size or larger than the actual object itself. The "true" designation may refer to a complete lens system designed for macro photos, and not a normal lens with extra attachments on it. The true macro lens can focus at infinity as well as close up, whereas if you use other screw-on lenses or extension tubes you cannot. That's my understanding of it at least.
If I may ask, what constitutes a 'true' macro?Thank you
