JVC, this inspired me to try some oil/water macro, but what kind of oil do you use to get such perfectly round and clean oil droplets?  I used olive oil and got a totally different look...

I used vegetable oil. I think olive oil is a tad thicker. Your's looks good though. The tiny bubbles in the bigger ones, kinda looks like it adds texture to them. What did you use underneath for color? Occasionally, give the water a stir or two, to move bubbles and create new ones, so you can get pictures that are different.

    Nice job with the oil and water shots guys... look like the psychedelic '60s is back! :D

    Anyway, I used my 100mm lens for this, so is count right?  :icon_lol:

Thanks guys.  That shot is actually just a glass of wine shot from the side.  I usually use the Vinturi wine aerator, and the wine foam looked like it would make interesting photo.  The cheap ring flash happened to create those nice catchlights in the bubbles..

Very nice. It looks like an oil & water shot.
Just left of center, there's a bubble that looks like a light colored batman signal in it.  :icon_lol:
