Last time I complained about the remote to Klaus I was told there are 2 versions: one is the Symphonic Line "multi function" remote you mention....and another is reported to be a simple cheap black 2 botton remote for volume.
I not a fan of either. I'd love to see the Kismet pre come with a really nice, full feature remote designed specifically for the unit.
In parallel, I've considered a universal. For kicks I looked up Odyssey compatibility and it is listed in the online Logitech Harmony database....so it looks like that could be an option...but havent tried it out.
