LS-6 vs OB-7

LS-6 vs OB-7

Well with the coming of spring, a young mans fancy turns to new speakers. Ok well Im not so young anymore, but I'm getting that gotta build something itch.  Have any of you LS-6 owners heard the OB-7's and care to offer up any listening comparisons?  Would it be worth my while to build a pair?  I'm smitten with the OB-7's and I think after a year of listening, my wife is finally accepting their looks, so what's the concensus?

The first question in my mind is whether or not you have the room to enjoy the LS's.  I have the OB-5's, and my wife would never accept the height of the LS's, nor the width of the V's.

I have heard both in Danny's living room.  To my ears (not the best) the LS6 had both better and more extended bass and better detail.  I have the LS9's. Do your OB-7's have servo sub bass? If so, you may have as good as you would get in the LS6.

Scott, I do have the servo sub, and it really brings depth to the OB-7's.  Thanks Danny, I think for now I will stand pat with the OB-7's, I'll just have to scratch that itch somewhere else, maybe I need to get back on the hunt for a high powered DIY tube amp.
