I know someone who bought one (at full retail of course). They loved it and I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, so I smiled and said things like "nice", "compact" and "no wires".
It sounded OK, but had no punch or real dynamics and no extended response, and my mind did race thinking about the various combinations of modest but sweet systems of receiver/amp, cd/dvd player and speakers I could assemble for $1100.

Most bang for the buck system I've ever assembled brand new. Cost less than a grand all in all, including HDMi and spool copper speaker cables and banana connectors, as well as a surge strip.
It's definitely got it's flaws like whompy bass and unexpectedly dullish highs (not much sheen on cymbals) but when it comes to speech intelligibility, sung or spoken, or anything in the fat part of the midband, mightily impressive.
It made the Polks beside them sound like the cones were made of mud and the baffle was covered with a comforter.
