Opinions of the CI DAC & passive preamp driving an amp with a 5k input impedance & 1.4V sensitivity (Crown)? The input impedance seems way to low to me. Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem...the low input impedance will insure that you have no hi freqeuncy roll off and the VDA-1 has no problem driving low impedance loads. You will have to turn the volume up higher than normal but this isn't always a bad thing as most potentiometers have their best channel to channel tracking past the 10 0'clock position.
