What do you use for the AC receptacle cover? I am thinking to use copper plates. But if you have better ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Metal is more durable than nylon, but can allow for improper electrical connections.

If you have money to burn and believe that an exotic cover plate will give you better sound than an indestructible nylon plate @ $0.44 (and there are people who do), or if it's worth a lot of money to you for a high-tech look, then you might want to consider

Carbon Fiber
Furutech 104-D (~ $85)

Aluminum and Carbon Fiber
Oyaide WPC-Z (~ $225)

Oyaide says "The beautiful texture of carbon fiber and brightness of aluminum alloy project a strong presence as an integrated architecture" and cites vibration and resonance control as the primary performance enhancing feature.

Here is a link to an extra heavy/thick, cast metal non-magnetic outlet cover that was used as an upgrade and available from Home Depot and other hardware stores.

Wood. Go to home depot and be done. Inexpensive and affective.
