WTB: Decent but Affordable Stands
« on: 19 Dec 2010, 02:44 pm »
I have a pair of Silverline Minuet bookshelf speakers ad want stands for them. Something around 30 or 36 inches high. By affordable, I'm thinking up to $200 or so.

Thank you.

I used a pair of Sanus Steel Foundation stands with Silverline Audio SR-11s. Nice stands for the money.

If you want something thats flexible as far as future purchases and changing height check out:

I have some and although they are pretty utilitarian they work well and can adjust

I found some here on AC as every once in awhile someone sells some but either way the brand I got is excellent-"Atlantis"

Audio Advisor has a bunch of brands:

+1 for the Sanus stands... more attention to detail than most stands in this price range (comes with cork "buffers" -??- to eliminate rattling etc.), especially if you load the stands.

VTI model DF stands are very good for ~$100 shipped. Very solid, with a cast iron base, heavy tube and are fillable. A great buy.

To get better you need multi-pillar stands with a much wider footprint for greater stability.
I'm not sure those are available for under $300.
