how to open duet squeezebox receiver

Bought one from ebay, it worked a month, then died. Just got a new one.

I'd like to pop open the old one to see if it can be brought online.

How is the best way to open one of these?

There are four screws on the bottom of the Receiver under the pad. You will have to peel the pad back at the corners. You will need a torx T-10 driver to fit the screw heads.

If you have problems with it, you can send it to me and I will be willing to let you know if I find any problems with it. I do have a bit of experience with those units.

Thanks, the symptoms are;
- no light on front led,
- low, constant high pitched whine.

Gene,

As a first step, you might want to try removing the wireless card. There have been a few failures with this card.

Hi Wayne

I have a duet that is also a bit dead. I cannot factory reset it - it stays on the red slow light and will not be seen by the controller, or indeed my router

Before I open it up - do you know another way to 're-boot'. The logitech support has not been that great - they keep sending me to FAQ that I have read

Thanks in advance

Steve
