my guess is a camera, and a larger capacity hard drive, and a .something faster processor.

Yes, Apple leaks typically hit Audiocircle first....and THEN everywhere else on the internet!

Like everything else that Apple releases, there is lots of speculation with little, if any, real info leading up to the actual product.

The new model will probably be left abandoned in an airport bar during early December, photos and speculation will build and go viral until CES in January.   :shh:

My guess is it will have slightly faster processing, more ports for memory cards and usb devices and sell for about the same price.

Berto,

That's how I use mine.  ipad + MWTP + squeezepad works great!

I pinky swore (with myself) that I'm waiting until Gen 2.

I have the 1st gen. It is the best computing experience I have ever had. So when 2nd gen arrives it will only be more refined. I laughed when I read the Samsung Galaxy reviews, it's apparently god awful. Meanwhile my 19 month old daughter is using YouTube on my iPad right now to watch Elmo videos. And yes she actually knows how to select the videos and start them!

Any way my guess is this: front facing camera, but no rear facing. IPS retina display (which will be awesome!) FaceTime if course, gyroscope for gaming, larger capacity, more ram (something that is sort of obviously lacking on the current version) and the biggest improvement? Apple will have more of my money.

Does the iPad use Corning's "Gorilla Glass"?

I'll wait for Gen. 2....the Apple 'formula' is normally more features - and those that are already are better sorted - for an equivalent or lesser price.

I've toyed around with the iPad a couple times now and it feels great to use. Like the iPhone - only BETTER for 47yo eyes

It would be great to do an overnite trip and ditch my 15.4"/9 lb (with accessories) laptop.  Anything longer and I need access to files...tho a firewire (doubt a USB could fit in that thin profile) would be welcome to have outboard files available.

Then again, maybe Carbonite (or another 'cloud' hard storage company) is in my near-term future....and Apple gets my money a lot sooner than later 8)

No. They use their own in house variant that, while similar, is probably not as durable for you skydiving shark wrasslin cliff diving super computer geeks.

This topic got me off my butt a bit to do a little lookie-loo around the net for 'cloud' storage companies... :)

Anyone here use DropBox for their smartphone and or Mac/Windows machine?

Pretty good reviews out there on this one: www.dropbox.com

Then again, there's SugarSync...some even better reviews on it: www.sugarsync.com

Ha - couldn't wait - just signed up for SugarSync. AADD (Advanced Attention Deficit Disorder :o)

Will let ya'll know if it sucks

60GB backup = USD$99.99 yearly with them.  I have long needed something to back me up as I am not conditioned to the outboard backup storage stuff (ie, I end up manually backing up my files every couple months...not near enough, frankly)

Multiple devices allowed and so long as 60GB isn't exceeded, it's $99.99 yearly. I synched with my iPhone and PC for now...I'll eventually synch my wife's PC and iPhone, as well.

30 day free trial to begin in case it really sucks for some reason :thumb:

5.0GB = Free for those interested in basic storage needs.
