Are you interested in a subwoofer? Or are you looking for speakers with more of a full range charactaristic. What are your size preferences/limitations? will you be using stands or actual bookshelfs? Are these speakers for single point reference listining or general all room satisfaction?

No sub.  Maybe in the future.  Room size is 14' x 12' with 9' ceiling.  I'll be using stands and use for single point reference.

no subs?  then, if not the polks pictured, go for something w/an m-t-m configuration - two small woofers will give better headroom than a single woofer.  personally, i like subs, even w/full-range speakers...

I'd definitely have to recommend the N2X (or N1X from GR Research)...they're worth wellllll beyond the cost to have them built for you.  I sold a couple pairs for between 500-650 and I think they're absolutely amazing little monitors.

That is actualy a supper nice (ring radiating)tweeter on the Polk. For DIY Scan-speak has one as well https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=8518 Another Monitor using that tweeter is the Sunfire HRS-4, a bit out of your price range but absolutly velvety and very small. With most of these Bookshelfs the addition of a properly set up sub or better yet, two, will markedly improve audio quality to the levels acheived by floorstanders. Good luck.

I'm looking for a bookshelf speakers around $500.  I have JoLida 202 Tube AMP(40W/CH).  I mostly listen classical music. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.  I read good reviews about Axiom M3 V3 and Ascend CBM-170 SE.  If you choose between these, which one will you choose and why?

I would probably look into something from Infinity or PSB. Paul Barton is a very talented designer, and as for Infinity, Harman has some of the best engineers and scientists in the business.

Too many other speaker brands don't actually even have a qualified engineer on staff.

It has 4ohms speaker output.  My concer is that I'm not sure if JoLida have enough power to drive the Polk speaker.

Yes, it should be fine.  I ran a pair of LSi15's with a Manley Stingray for a little while(20wpc in triode).  The LSi7's are the same efficiency, so you should be fine.
