Has anyone here built and completed one?  What are your thoughts on it?  What have you compared it too?

Looks like a great design, but I haven't built it.   I've heard good things about it though.

I have had mine for about a month and absolutely love it.  I did not build it but acquired it from a gentleman that is very skilled and talented with electronics.

I thought it would be excellent and it has exceeded my expectations.

I am using it with my Hagerman Cymbal 8 watt monoblock tube amps.  It is an incredible combination.

I believe there are others on AC that are building or that have built it.

This is a very serious preamplifier.  If I compared it to commercial equipment I have owned it would be in some pretty expensive company.

I give it my highest recommendation.   :thumb:

I've got the kit, just haven't built it yet. But I don't doubt at all its sonic splendor as Kevin Carter is an ace designer. As a diy'er I'm only too lucky to know him. The 6N6P tube he uses has very similar sonic characteristics and lower spectral harmonic distortion spectra than 6SN7's if that means anything. Definitely something I would like to compare with the Atmasphere MP-3 or Allen Wright's RTP-3 designs. If you want balanced differential they are all nice options to audition.

Good luck in your search,

Anand.

I look forward to you getting yours done.  I'm sure you do too.   :thumb:
