Gettysburg...it is so rousing.  If I need to get my butt in gear that soundtrack is a winner every time.

by far for me hans zimmer wins hands down.  he continues to amaze me with every soundtrack he does.  however, my fav movie soundtrack would have to be from the movie gataca.  michael nyman did an excellent job.  listen to the track "departure" and see how amazing your system sounds.

+1 on Blade Runner, Sorcerer, and Thief (If they would release the promo-only two-disc version of the Blade Runner Soundtrack, which doesn't have any of the annoying dialog bits, life would be a bit better...). Other adds:

Just saw this posting.  Wow, you liked Once Upon A Time In The West?  I liked it too.  Morricone seems to have a knack at scoring those spaghetti westerns.  That was his signature score, and what made him the mega composer, like John Williams.  I recently took the DVD from the library again.  Great flick.
