I have been told that the Candela inverts phase. Can anyone tell me this for sure ? I have searched and can't find any info on this

I got mine this year and talked to Klaus about that - he said on some systems it's a night and day change when you switch + and -.  On others no noticeable change.

It's worth a try.  My system didn't care.

Charles,

Yes, the Candela preamp does invert phase by circuit design. The best way to do it is to just invert the cables at the speakers terminal.

Hi Alex, some of our mexican friends would like to know what is the idea behind this desing principle, I know you did it since the begining but I think you could share again with us.

Thank you

Eduardo,

The Candela circuit topology is based on a classic mu-follower (constant current) using twin triodes. Without getting to technical, this circuit allows for the output signal to be taken from the upper plate (non-inversion) but with a higher output impedance, or the upper cathode (phase-inversion) with a much lower output impedance. I decided to go with a lower impedance.
