Finally recieved my SBT today, works great. I went to HDTracks d/l a song, placed it in Sondbird in its own playlist and I can't locate it with SBT. I d/l in flac and Songbird plays it on my pc just fine. Penny for your thoughts...

Did you refresh the Squeezebox Server so it sees the new file?

Open the program and on the first page is the refresh button.

Had to do that for my new files.

Hope it works.

Click "Settings" in lower right corner, then the "Rescan" button.

As HAL indicated, that's what makes it look for new music.

I tried rescan to no avail. I see Songbird on my SBT but when I open it shows empty. On my pc Songbird has all my playlists from itunes and the HDtracks. There must be something within Songbird software that I'm missing.

Squeezebox has a learning curve that can be frustrating. I've found that the interface can be mystifying and poorly documented. Logitech seems to realize that and has great toll-free, free Tech Support. Call them.

I've found the sound quality on the Duet to be worth any trouble, especially once you've got it right.

Hi-

1. Check the tags on the file and make sure they say what you expect. Not all files are tagged.

2. Do a "full rescan" of your library; SBS sometimes doesn't pick up changes on a rescan that is just for "new and changed" files.
