It may have already been posted, but I love Jack White's vinyl record promotion skills, and fun in producing records.
This link to his presentation of the new triple decker record is better and faster than the one posted at Paste magazine.

Forget the fingerprints, Chris, what about when he takes that Swiss Army knife to the record. :o :o :o

He almost looks and sounds like a carnival barker, or a "dealer of vinyl" just down the alley.

I gotta admire Jack White. I think he's a fairly talented musician who's also marketing genius, a modern Andy Warhol, Marshal McCluan (sp?) or early Madonna. And that means, whether you love it or hate it,  it will get noticed. I wish I had those sort of stones when I was running my photo biz. I always took the laid back approach of 'let the work speak for itself'. No....you gotta get out there and promote. If you want to succeed, you have to proclaim....this is the next great thing!!!

Jack doesn't care about fingerprints or pocketknives, because vinyl to him, is about lo-fi, being anti establishment..... man. Right out of the 60's playbook.

The guy has the instincts of 'Don Draper' without running an ad agency.

Anybody in the public eye touting the benefits of vinyl should get a pat on the back as far as I'm concerned. I've purchased from Jack's label and will continue to do so until they stop releasing music I want to hear.

Don't get me wrong. I like his music. And yeah, I appreciate someone supporting vinyl so much. I didn't mean to imply he can't write good songs or play.

A little OT but if you haven't seen "It Might Get Loud" yet you need to.  I thought it was great, Jimmy Page, Edge, and Jack White.... a lot of fun!

Best,
