Help with usb input on my wyred 4 sound DAC
« on: 7 Sep 2010, 01:48 am »
This morning I tried to set up my Wyred 4 sound DAC2.  I have an HPlaptop running windows vista home(32 bit) and I tried to use Foobar 2000 playing FLAC files.  The output from FOOBAR 2000 was set to W4S spdif, and the dac read USB  44.1 .  Itried using 8,16,24,and 32 bits output without a sound ecer coming out of the speakers.  Any help anyone?  I am new at this so even the stupidist of mistakes is more than possible.  Thanks

If you connect the DAC using USB then Foobar must be set to use USB too.
SPDIF is digital out using the SPDIF protocol.
In this case your laptap should have a SPDIF out (optical or coax)
