I am starting on the same project using the all-in-one Octal board and 4 6SN7s.

No... there was a snafu with getting the power transformer, which took several months, and in the meantime I went digital active so then didn't have a use for it...  :duh: However I have been thinking about it just recently and am considering reworking it into a headphone amp using 6BX7 in the output stage and Broskie's new SRCFPP circuit - http://www.tubecad.com/2012/04/blog0228.htm

So much for a simple build :lol:
