For jazz lovers only...vinyl giveaway drawing

I am giving away a copy of Bill Evans' New Jazz Conceptions. The album is presented on two 180g LPs at 45RPM. This reissue is courtesy of Analogue Productions. It was remastered by Steve Hoffman and cut by Kevin Gray. The album has been spun once on my turntable and I don't recall hearing any pressing defects but it has been a few months. It was pressed by Pallas Records in Germany and is a high quality pressing.

The reason for the givaway is that it is a duplicate. Shortly after the release of New Jazz Conceptions, Acoustic Sounds announced a boxed set of all of Evans' Riverside recordings on 45RPM vinyl. I bought that boxed set.

Rather than try and sell this for a few bucks I thought it would be nice to make a gift of music to someone at AC who could appreciate it, who is a fan of Bill Evans, and who would like to hear this music on 45RPM vinyl but might feel that $50 per title is a little too much to pay.

Here is the way this will work. If you want in on the drawing then simply reply to this post and ask to be entered. At the end of my workday on Thursday I will select a winner at random. I'll cover the cost of shipping to any address in the continental United States. I will also be happy to ship to a foreign address, but the winner will be responsible for the cost of shipping and insurance (sorry, but my generosity does have limits).

Once the drawing is held I will announce the winner and contact that person by PM to obtain their shipping address.

Any member of AC is eligible.

Hi Jerome,
I noticed your post on the Bryston thread about the viability of getting into vinyl, for someone who never was into it before. Your rationale expressed my feelings very closely. I thought it was well stated and helpful, so much so that there would be little I could add.

New Jazz Conceptions is one of the albums I used to have, but was lost in the great flood. I refer to a storage place flood that decimated my record collection yrs ago. I would love to have this re-issue. Please count me in.

Hi Nigel. I don't think that would work.

However, if your friend wants to join AC and then enter that would be fine.
