Yummy, Milford. What do you use to power them?

My next acquisition will be the AKG 702's.  I have learned that spending the most on headphones is not always the best sounding. Excluding the Beyer T1's and the Senn HD 800 of course.  Happy listening my friends.

Your monitors look very well designed and constructed, Freo. They must sound sweet. I've not heard of Tyler, but their website shows an interesting range of products.

Thanks.  Ty is a great guy to deal with.  He will customize his designs to meet individual tastes.  The monitors sound excellent, and they are outstanding at imaging.  Mate them with a good subwoofer or two, and great musical enjoyment can be achieved. I've tried them with both tubes and solid state.  Both sound great, but I prefer the tubes slightly so far.

Seems like almost every thing I'm listening to is a new acquisition... even the room.

After two years of saturdays spent with my dad remodeling this room for my stereo, just when it's time to move every thing in I end up with lots of new upgrades.  We built the shelf for my equipment so getting his preamp in was very close. I use to have my BDP-1 and BDA-1 set on top of each other with a very short AES/EBU but l didn't like the way it looked in the shelf.  The EB1i's and 4BSST2 were what I had and got upgraded to the IB2i's and a pair of 7BSST2, I also upgraded to a Torus RM20 for all my sources/preamp and moved my mit z strip to the amps and tv.  I thought about switching them around but don't have a power cord long enough.  Would it be worth a 15ft power cord to move the Torus to the amps?

Congratulations, Listentohear:

What a fine system. It's clear that you've put a lot of time in making the room comfy, and your gear should sound good therein. I'll leave the Torus question to the experts.

Happy listening . . . and hearing,

Rich

I was looking at some VPIs a few weeks ago and thought that it looked familiar - a beautiful turntable for sure  :thumb:

Be well...

Besides picking up my 3.7's a week ago,I just put in an order for some MYe stands for them :thumb:,and of course some Empirical jumpers

I think soon I'll have to get the BPD-1 in black with the blu Led's.

Will you use the empirical jumpers in place of the u shaped metal pieces?
