I have a silver faced SB3 that is WIRED ONLY with remote and power supply. This unit works fine with ethernet cable into your network and the remote works - it just cannot receive a signal wirelessly from a router for instance.

i'm partially interested in the elpac for my touch. that sb3 looks oddly familiar though....

I have another Elpac. What is the voltage for the Touch? I thought it was different than the SB. I believe the SB is 5 volts.

i believe wayne said that the elpac would work with the touch as long as you don't try running an external unpowered hard drive, which i don't. now that i think about it though, the barrel connectors on the sb3 vs. the touch are different so wayne would likely need to mod it. i was hoping for plug and play. i'll shoot wayne and email to find out what's what.

wayne says that the elpac will work. still trying to get clarification on the dc connector. i'd prefer to leave the touch's wall wart alone and just put a new connector on the elpac. does your elpac have the appropriate dc connector or will one be needed? before we delve much deeper, how much are you wanting for the elpac?

Oh geeze, I thought cost was no object!

My Elpac has the SB connector on it as I had some lying around from my old R/C days (same as the charger cords for radios). The connector was talked about in the threads months ago.
