Made in USA, Canada, Germany, etc. doesn't necessarily mean what you think it does.
Only 51% of the total cost of a component or assembly has to be made in the "parent" country for it to be labelled so.
For instance, your expensive motorcycle forks may be labelled Made In Italy which is where the fork tubes were actually manufactured but everything else (triple tree, all fork internals and sliders) could be from China.
The fork tubes cost 51% of the total price so Made In Italy it is.
Buell, for instance, had to remove "American Motorcycles" from their logo once they went under the magic 51% mark.
