I run a cambridge audio 340a with mine. I am looking at going to a entry level tube amp though.

Others I was looking at before I bought the CA...
NAD
Music Hall a25.2
Jolida 1501rc
Bada DC-222

What is your budget?

I demo'd them with two different amplification options - a Wyred4Sound STI-500 Integrated Amp and a Naim rig (NAP 150X, NAC 122X, Flatcap2X).  In my room, the N2X's performed better with the Naim gear.  It didn't perform badly with the Wyred, there was just a better symmetry of strengths with the Naim/N2X setup.

I would imagine they would perform well with a Naim Nait5i integrated, which on the used market is a relatively budget friendly piece.  Good luck.

I just did a test run with one of my soon to be completed NX2's.  Very impressive compared to my ported Epos mls8's.  Much more detail and fullness in the bass.  I've got NAD separates and the sound was excellent.  If I were buying amplification today I would give a hard look at the Peach Tree Audio hybrid integrated.  Your speakers are going to sound great with most any quality amp.

Haven't decided on a budget...but as little as possible.

I am thinking about an Onix SP3

I will be moving mine to a stock SP3 soon for a test. The SP3 will then get mods starting with sonicap bypass caps. The non platinum 0.1's are only a couple bucks each and I think you need 6 of them, so not a pricey upgrade. My biggest concern is power on tap in a larger setting. I will post some comments soon.

I don't know if it is within your price range or not, but I still have these:

I put together a classd amp for under 300.
Take a look at the thread in Cheap and Cheerful Circle http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=76400.msg757637;topicseen#new.  Gary Dodd has been playing around with one.

I will be using it to drive LS6 line source.

Damn you Shadowlight, that post is going to cost me at least $300!

For a little over $200 you can get 250 per side into 8 ohms which should be more than enough to power the N2X with a good amount of headroom to keep you out of clipping.  Just a bit more and you can add balanced connections.  If they have good SQ which I suspect they do, it could be a better and cheaper solution than an SP3.  Now how to explain to the wife why we need 3-4 of these! :D

My amp is currently doing the NY Audio RAVE group rounds.  If you want to listen to it before purchasing let me know and I will ship it once it comes back from the rounds most likely around mid April or so.

Do you have any pics of your amp?

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=76400.400 (page 21 in the long thread).  Some of the wiring has changed since the picture was taken for the better by one of the NYAR.

EDIT: To the OP sorry for potentially derailing your thread.

These are pretty tough to beat too:

http://www.gr-research.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=153

definitely an option for a smaller space. If the SP3 does not have the power I am looking for in a larger room, then I am going to want to a bigger step up in power than what the virtue offers. If I did not already have a spare SP3 and I had a smaller space I think I would try the virtue before the SP3 for sure.

I use a Marantz PM 7001 integrated amp with my N2X's and the combination is magic!

Using one of Niteshades custom built tube amps and the combo sounds mighty fine.  Hopefully if I can get my act together I will have a review of the amp and N2X's soon.
