I'm currently running a pair of Usher X-929s and while they have PLENTY of bass the mids are veiled.
From what I'm reading it sounds like either the Song Towers OR HT-2 TLs would provide a more defined midrange that I am looking for in my next speaker.
A) I currently run a Parasound A23 but am in the process of upgrading to a Pass X150.5.
B) My listening room measures ~18x20 with 9' ceiling and I have plenty of GIK panels, pillars, etc... to treat as needed.
C) Ideally, I want to place the rear of the speakers no more than 24" off the front wall.
D) I'm not into organ music but I do enjoy experiencing lower registers on the piano and the occasional timpani.
E) I'm pretty much deaf to anything over 12k so high freq extention doesn't concern me.
Given the above, would the Song Towers be less "finicky" with regards to placement/performance vs. HT-2 TLs?
Cost is not an issue
