When we are recessing our tweeters and woofers into our speaker box, what is the best way to secure them? Should we glue or nail them or use something else?

I've had good luck with coarse-thread drywall screws, or T-nuts/hurricane nuts and bolts for heavier drivers.

Dry wall screws work great.  It the woofer or tweeter has a foam gasket, it will form an air tight seal.  If not, thin foam weather stripping works well.  I'd avoid something like silicon caulking- after it dries it is nearly impossible to remove the driver from the cabinet should you need to.
