FYI I took a shot at some of the RFT 12AU7s, since I have had great luck with these in the past and the price sure seems much lower than any other I've seen.

Mask's responses were very quick and pleasant but the shipping is taking a bit of time, I think because of his home country's postal service. I'll keep checking the tracking #.

I'll update the status when they get here.

Hi Mike!
To be honest, in recent time all the problem that I am having about these delays are due to USPS mistakes. I have a lot of packages which reached US in no more than week and after that delayed in New York in-bound international arrival at least a week or two.
I am keeping an eye of all my shipped tubes and if there is any changes in their status I am notifing the buyer immediately.
Thank you for your trust!
Kind regards,
Ivaylo

Hi Ivaylo,

I wanted to let you know that the tubes got here in great shape and they sound really good.

Thanks for the great service.

Just so everyone knows, dealing with Ivaylo has been a pleasure - Very quick and kind communication.

Thanks again - Next time I'll send a few extra $$ for a postcard from Bulgaria - I'd love to see one!

That's for sure!  60 bux a pair here:

http://www.tubedepot.com/nos-12au7-rft.html    :o

I own a pair of these Tesla labelled RFT ones that I bought years ago from Ken Chait (Tubeman.com).  It's a solid reliable tube, but I have never liked it in critical areas like line stage.  Very clean and clear, but a bit dry.  They are OK for input, driver and and buffer duty.

Mine flash really bright upon power on....ala Mullard tubes.  Pretty cool.

Strange....very strange.

I made a post up above, but I can't see it...only the quoted part.   Yet when I try to "modify" it I can see everything that I typed!

Can anyone see what I posted above?   Anyone ever encounter this before?

Success!    :thumb:

Know what was causing the problem?

See the lil shocked face emoticon after the link?   I originally had it on the same line as the link.  For some reason that made my entire post invisible on the board, yet I could still see everything in edit mode.

Cracker Jack decoder ring helped me figure it out.     8)

Part of the delay was my fault - I couldn't get to the post office for a few days.

I was never worried and all went well.

No 12AX7s, though?

Mike,
at this moment I don't have any 12AX7/ECC83 tubes, but I have arranged to get some RFT's and Telefunken 12AX7's in the summer - July I think. Meanwhile it's possible to pop-up something. I will keep the threat updated, so you can check it from time to time.
Thanks!

Hi Rod!
I am using PayPal as a payment method.
The shipping to Australia for 2 (two) tubes costs about 7 USD, can't tell excatly. For 4 pcs. will be about 8 USD. Shipping is via registered airmail with signature on delivery and tracking number + box. I used to have several orders from Australia and the usual shipping time is about 14 business days, but you know it depends.
Best regards,
Ivaylo
